lntense yet youthfully backward, smoldering up with a complex array of dried violets, ashen stone, sage, cedar chips amd blackberries, lifted by hints of camphor. It's silky smooth, nearly seemless in feel, with surprising lift and savory core of red and black fruits that penetrate deeply, staining the palate in primary concentration. A bump of brisk acidity maintains freshness, yet the end result is one of tannic structure and tension. Depths of bitter berry fruit and licorice tones leave a cheeky-puckering sensation. The 2021 is a powerful and dense Terra di Lavoro that will play dividends in the cellar. This is a beast. Bury it deep. Drinking date: 2029-2049
