La Forge de Tart ist ein Premier Cru von Morey-Saint-Denis, der aus den jüngeren Reben der berühmten Parzelle Clos de Tart gewonnen wird. Wie beim grossen Wein wird jede Parzelle getrennt geerntet, sortiert und vinifiziert. Die besten Partien werden 18 Monate in neuen Fässern ausgebaut. La Forge de Tart ist ein seltener Wein, da nur etwa 4'500 Flaschen produziert werden. Er lässt sich gut in seiner Jugend geniessen, kann aber auch mühelos gelagert werden.

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Forge de Tart wafts from the glass with aromas of cassis, red cherries, wild berries, exotic spices and peonies, framed by a discreet touch of oak. Medium to full-bodied, deep and velvety, it's vibrant and concentrated, with powdery tannins and a more serious, reserved profile than the domaine's Morey-Saint-Denis. - WK 01/2022Morris
4000 bottles will be made. 50% new oak and 20% whole bunch with a little bit of press wine. This comes from sectors known as La Forge, Ballonge 2 and Plantation 2011. The first two are being top-grafted away from clonal material to make use of their own selection of pinot. Very dense purple black colour. There is a slight and not unattractive metallic aspect in the dark red fruit which I ascribe to iron oxide in the soil. This is very substantial on the palate and really fills out at the finish. A proper wine. 13.8% alcohol. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Nov 2021.Degustation
